Below is a greatest hits compilation of my favorite stills from my High School Theatre productions. Each shot was produced and edited by me. I could not film all of them because I had to be in active crew roles for many of these shows.
After renting 6 projectors for a total of 8, our lead director selected me to program backgrounds and effects for the entire show. Using a software no one in the department was familiar with, I programmed (and then reprogrammed, twice) the entire show. Let it Go specifically featured projections going off in time with the music, culminating with effects on the walls and ceiling. There's also a fun glove-related practical effect that I was in charge of during the show.Â
Check it out here.

Everything that I had to set out at the top of the show, on wheels. From bottom to top, one fog machine, two hazers, the yellow boxes are for the lights, and the bucket is for power cords.
In my senior year, my high school did The Ballad of Maria Marten as our competition show. We brought this show to various schools in order to compete at the different locations of the competition. I was the assisstant stage manager for the show, as well as being in charge of LEDs, a fog machine, and hazers, all used to simulate the fire in the show. The LEDs were also used to add color to the show and were designed by me. We had only seven minutes to set up and strike our set, which required me to set out all four of our LEDs, fog, hazer, power cords, and DMX to each of the things. One of our biggest issues was that our lightboard couldn't create the effect that we wanted for the fire for the show, so I took the time to figure out a virtual lightboard software in order to create the desired effect.
